Once I got over the slow intro, it's actually a decent book, and I'm enjoying myself. I also learned that Merlyn has a gun in his shack, which is nice. It's kind of like Tolkien, where The Hobbit is more lighthearted and aimed at a bit of a younger audience, and then Lord of the Rings winds up being a much more serious and mature story.
