I understand what TC is saying. There is nothing wrong with moving away from derogatory labels. I don't think it is lying to someone by telling them they're overweight or obese while still outlining how unhealthy it is. However, I feel its important to share a message for anyone who might need to hear it, and everyone on the board. Whether youre 50, 100, or 300 pounds overweight, please remember: You are not fat. You have fat. Fat does not define you; it is not your personality, nor is it an intrinsic part of who you are. If he was saying the former, there would be little pushback.
