In return for reduced prices, the company gets your demographic info, marketing info, preferences, insights into your habits (How often do you browse their menu? Do you do it just before bed? Do you sit on a cheap option for an above-average number of seconds before adding a more expensive option?). But that's not necessarily a bad thing, if you understand it going in.
