As much as people shit on it now, Twitter as a source of information was a fairly amazing tool in the before times.

Now, a verified account being promoted to the top of the list is almost guaranteed to be spouting nothing but made up shit, since 90%+ of the people paying to use the platform are grifters and people desperate for attention. You have to scroll past the check marks to reach the "real" comments, since nobody with that little blue circle has any value as a person whatsoever.

If anybody ever creates a script or viewing app that auto hides all verified accounts, they'll be a god damn hero.

Oh that exists, but not on the app which is how most people use Twitter.

It even knows the difference between people that paid and people that were "given" Blue, apparently.
