Ok Proper update time!

Tekken 8
As seen above Tekken 8 was finished. I think the story was really good after the confusing train wreck of 7 (Featuring Akuma randomly). 8 felt very much like it was back on the path previous entries held and although some moments and aspects were of course predictable many were unexpected. Putting the focus back on Jin as the central protag felt good, and splitting time between him and other characters really gave it the feeling of a crazy anime film in the best way. As much as I despise 7s overbloated last fight this one in 8 was expected but felt great to play. Jin literally transitioning between the fighting styles hes used in the series was beautiful.

So what didn't I like? The ending stingers both suck. Reina is a character introduced to replace Heihachi as one of his 5,000 random secret children he had. The game felt like it was in a rush to put her into focus as the next big bad setup but it should have slowed the paces. Having her feign longer with some secret power she wants to come out but failed to would have been better. Having her just attain this power fast as Jin and Kazuya lose it is exhausting but also ...a plot hole.

So Jin and Kazuya essentially killed Azazeal and with it his power is well gone. Its why when they return to earth they are cleansed of the power, its burnt out and the source is gone. Having her just have it makes very little sense, the source is gone. That was the entire point of Tekken 6, Jin wanted to bait Azazel out to kill him and end the devil shit knowing it'd extinguish the power since its all borrowed from Azazel. Why it still works in 7 and 8 is Azazel was sealed in Zafina until she was killed. So yeah this setup is bad.

The other bad setup is bringing Jun back as she randomly appears standing next to Kazuya. Unless this is a clone (considering kazuya himself is technically a clone) then I cant see this really working out.

Either way itll be like next gen before we see tekken again.

Nearing the end of this, realistically could finish this if I just sat down to. Its still charming but I'm ready for it to end

Yakuza Kiwami
Well still on chapter 5 but im about 10 hrs deeper into side content. Thats the pitfall of these kinda games and me.
