65 . Jules

He is risen.

Jules is the first of many returning Remake characters who somehow found their way outside Midgar following the unpleasantness there. In Rebirth, he's hiding out in the "secret gym" between Costa Del Sol and Corel. He's as uplifting and body positive as ever. Once again he gets his ass beat by Tifa in fitness. (We're not here to litigate crunches. The time to discuss crunches will come later).

He knows the value of training and the importance of a good post work out meal. Also, apparently, he's Andrea's literal brother (according to the Wiki). Never pieced that together. The wiki could be wrong.

64 . Seto

He is risen, indeed!

Actually, he's just a literal statue. Where's a gold needle when you need one? If only Seto knew that all he needed to do was cast cure on the Gi, everything would've been fine.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but they kind of botched this scene in Rebirth. If I had to pick a least favorite chapter in the game, it's definitely Cosmo Canyon. The additional stuff with Gi Nattak is super cool, but the actual dungeon and Seto reveal feels rushed to me. In this game, Red XIII just seems kind of stupid for not piecing it together sooner. The Rebirth version lacks subtlety.

Hint for minigame #37: Taking one of these makes it last longer, but why would you want to?
