It definitely is easy to believe it's just another wire-fu movie, but the neat twists and turns of the story, and itself being a fictious version of real historical characters and events was cool. According to Wikipedia, it is the 5th highest non-English film in North America. It was #4, but Godzilla Minus One surpassed it. Pretty damn impressive.
