Topic	My laptop broke and I'm considering getting a better one.

I would error on the higher end since "I just want to play X on it" usually leads to "Why can't I play game that is 5 times more demanding than X?" a year or two down the road. A gaming laptop might not be a bad idea since you can get some decent ones for less than the price of a new graphics card.
