That Trump was acting as an official of the United States so he can't be held liable for anything. CableZL posted... The DoJ was originally standing in for Trump in the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit, but they reversed course on that at some point. I think it was around the time Trump decided to keep defaming her after he left office. Man, I don't think I was aware of this. Found an article on it, this was pretty early into Garland's tenure and just one more reason to despise the man.
