If nothing else I'm glad for the posts so I'm able to put down more thoughts for films we've watched.

In My Mother's Skin: This was billed as a Filipino folk horror, available exclusively on Prime. I somehow missed this one when it first was launched back in October but I stumbled across it somehow. It falls into the same sort of bleak category as films like The VVitch and When Evil Lurks. It uses local folklore to weave a pretty dark, dreary tale where no good will come to the protagonists. It's definitely not a film that's heavy handed with its terror, but there are some pretty shocking scenes which again reminded me of ones I had seen earlier this year with WEL. I wouldn't quite put it on the same tier with that one, but it's a very solid offering nevertheless. The set pieces and locations in general are pretty awe-inspiring, and since it's in a foreign language I can't 100% be sure of the acting but it seemed pretty well done from what I could gather of it.
