I get that love will make a lot of people deal with stuff like this and want to stay together, but honestly it seems more like a weakness/hindrance than some sort of strength to boast about. "Yeah he cheated on me but our love is strong so we got through it" Sorry, it sounds like he got to play around and just get away with it because you're too dependent on his presence/the life you've built to hold him accountable.
