I couldn't disagree more. Maybe in a vacuum, it seemed like Team Shatter may have made a bigger deal out of the weighing and the missing 2 pounds than was necessary. But Ethan and Team Riptide built up a long list of disrespectful, shady, or unsportsmanlike behavior even before that. They built themselves a bad reputation, and accusations like that happen when you have a bad reputation. Team Shatter had every reason to believe Team Riptide may have been cheating given their reputation, and they were breaking a rule by modifying their bot after the weigh-in.

At the very least, I hope this Riptide situation leads to the creation of a very thorough Code of Conduct for the next season, with clearer rules and consequences for unsportsmanlike behaviors like the ones Team Riptide did this season. That should be the bare minimum result of all this.
