| FoolFantastic 03/26/23 12:15:59 PM #4: | A phenomenal album from beginning to end. If I prefer the singles, it's more due to exposure than any fault in the rest of the tracks. I feel like a lot of the post-grunge bands took after Pearl Jam in particular. The fact most of those bands became punchlines shows that, even if Pearl Jam's music sounds relatively simple to imitate, it takes a ton of talent to pull it off with convincingly raw emotions. "Black" feels like the underappreciated gem of the grunge era; it's rare for a song to be this vulnerable while also going this hard.
