krazychao5 posted... whoowhee finally out of the desert level. what a fucking arc; i am impressed with how OP has been so far. so much so that I am watching the filler at the end of the arc and just savoring my team with the crew. while the episodes do not have much substance, it's further exploring these characters and what makes them who they are. last episode was the fireworks i got to.

gotta say, i really enjoyed the wind down in alabasta. especially the episode where luffy wakes up and the feast. the damn fruit basket scene is gold. replayed it a lot and got video and sent to my friends. usually the dinner fast eating trope is well overplayed, but this was a delight to see the demeanor change of all the guards and how they protect the crew from the marines.

Oh man, you're pretty much caught up to where I am, I think I'm only a couple episodes ahead of you now.

This post-arc filler is honestly pretty solid tbh. After such a long, HEAVY arc, it's kinda nice seeing each crew member having a specific moment focused just on them, even if it adds nothing to the overarching story. It's just good, fun character development, and I think it's more than earned.

Considering this is a series I genuinely thought I would NEVER get into due to its obscene length, it's quickly becoming a favorite, if it isn't already. As of yet, every time I've started to feel like I know where it's going/I think it's getting stale and predictable, it changes course in a fulfilling way. This is good shit man.

I had seen that canvas before I got to that fist raising scene in the show, so it was awesome to get to that part and the original intro song started playing.

That's pretty dope.

The fist raising scene was fucking awesome btw. This show is relly good about taking something that could feel trope-y, and actually making it fulfilling, and makes sure to earn those moments.

I'll be real, my high ass clicked this spoiler anyways, and as of this point in the show, none of those words mean anything to me, so I think he's good.
