How am I underselling Kuki? I suppose you could argue that being the most used on the list could be interpreted as damning with faint praise, but I've been actively using Kuki since I farmed the Gilded domain. Anyway, I'm aware there's a difference between (not) good and (not) optimal, but I genuinely don't see any reason why I will ever want to run any of those other characters when I don't have the five-stars they pair with and I'm not in love with many of their designs, either. (Particularly Layla, who makes Qiqi look like Richard Simmons.)

To sceptile, yeah, she has a stronger shield, but the limitation on Diona's shield isn't its strength, it's the duration. 5 paws * 2.4 = 12 seconds, same as Layla.

To swordz, maybe I've misjudged, but my limited experience with Collei first-hand and from hearing others talking about her is that her abilities have long wind-ups and poor, weirdly-arcing hitboxes, such that there's no practical benefit to using her over DMC. She's certainly likeable, though.
