Sky Striker Ace - Azalea

DARK Machine Link-2 Effect Monster

ATK 1500 / Arrows: Top Left, Bottom Right

Materials: 2 LIGHT and/or DARK monsters

Must be Link Summoned. You can only Special Summon "Sky Striker Ace - Azalea" once per turn.

(1) If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it, then, if you have 3 or less Spells in your GY, send this card to the GY.

(2) Once per turn, at the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles an opponent's monster: You can banish 1 Spell Card in your GY; destroy that monster.

So Konami announced a new Sky Striker link as a V-Jump promo... and she's a generic Link-2? What the fuck?

Sky Striker decks can't even summon her using the existing Link-1's as materials or using Linkage (Raye, Roze, and the token from Hornet Drones work) but she's generic enough that other non-Striker decks focused on Light and/or Dark monsters *cough*Tearlaments*cough* can use her as spot removal. Plus, non-Striker decks can now theoretically access the Striker engine by summoning this generic and then summoning Shizuku over it to search (or Hayate to pitch and then Kagari to recover) Engage. Why do this, Konami? For what purpose?
