And while Internet hipsters will deny this, during its first few seasons Family Guy was absolutely better than the Simpsons that was coming out at the same time. It wasn't until later that Family Guy started getting really terrible (just like the Simpsons did). As a general rule of thumb, most live-action shows should never run more than 5-6 seasons, and even animated shows shouldn't run more than 10. After that point you've pretty much run out of ideas and are so burned out that you're mostly just going through the motions to cash the check, and your show is going to be more or less creatively bankrupt and soul-numbingly banal. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ...
