Yeah it doesn't make sense. I live in Massachusetts, one of the most expensive places to live in the country, and even making half of what lihlih makes I'm by no measure "stuck". I could move any time I want, pretty much any where I want.

He lives in Texas, making twice the money I do, and has been stuck for five years? Admits it's "fucking terrible" there and worries about his kids being subject to racism, but won't do anything about it?

All I know is that if my kids were at risk or could have a much better life somewhere else, I'd move. Simple as that. Do it for the kids, at least. Making them suffer when you have the money to move them is just cruel.
