The thing is that it probably just wasn't good at all, didn't have big enough actors to point people at (aside from Keaton potentially), and they don't think Batgirl will be big enough to carry her own film and get butts in seats. Put all of that together and it makes sense they don't have a ton of faith in it to go on the full movie release rush. If Discovery is smart, they completely reset on the DC cinematic universe and just focus on putting a lot of high quality movies out starring individual heroes or small teams. Get a whole ass cinematic universe the right way. They've had too many shitty movies out for anyone to even have faith in them. The only ones people have universally enjoyed were The Batman and Shazam. After WW1984 I think people lost any faith in Wonder Woman. It feels like Discovery is inheriting a mess and doesn't know what to do exactly but they're trying to weigh everything and gutted Batgirl because they have no faith in it. --- I stream sometimes.
