I think they were really close to figuring out how to extend game life in a meaningful way all things considered

Labyrinth Dungeons were a good idea but grinding the same stuff over and over to get +5% mods just wasn't fun

I think I would have really liked a version of labyrinth that was more like the story mode. Like the story mode had its own set of character levels and started everyone at level 1 with a ragtag set of abilities and soul breaks.

Imagine each Labyrinth season using that mechanic, with the chests and encounters having equipment, abilities and soul breaks in them to power up your Labyrinth parties. With their levels and stuff resetting each season.

Then your reward at the end is to get the 5% gear for the character you want. It would be so cool.

But oh well.
