You're not wrong, but considering how trivial the complaint is, you're advertising to their sponsors and potential sponsors that they know how to make otherwise small articles in to viral viewership. This is ideal for advertisers, so without a real attachment to racism (which saying someone's race neutrally isn't), it's a benefit.
