Zinat Hossain (24), a student of Hunter College in Brooklyn, died on the spot after she was crushed under the train at local time 9:00pm on May 11. Bangladeshis in New York are warning fellow expats through social media to be more careful while taking the subway. The newspaper reported that New York police have not yet confirmed the identity of the snatchers. It was also not confirmed whether Zinat was a victim of hate crime.
