Under normal circumstances that still doesnt warrant a slap BUT lets examine Will Smiths life in recent years. Hes provided for his family and loved them. Arguably hes loved his fans, too. He gets betrayed by the person who is supposed to be his most trusted, and does the world show him support during this traumatic time? Nope! They bash the shit out of him. Cause if a woman cheats its, You go, girl. But if a guy cheats, Hes a scumbag dog. His fans and the world betrayed him as well. Hes been the butt of many jokes. Its even evident in this thread.

I agree the double standard where cheating by either party is always somehow the man's fault is bs.
But we laugh at him b/c he chooses to stay. Dude could've had any wife he wanted, or been a bachelor and slept w/ thousands, if he wanted. Instead, he not only chooses her, but stands by her as she cheats on him. It's pathetic, and he brings the mean jokes on himself for not standing up for himself.

Anyway, considering female nature perhaps she cheated because she didnt feel he was protective enough. Idk, just speculating. But it is one of the many reasons women give for cheating, the man falls short somehow. Cause they can never say, I just wanted new dick! But anyway, if that was one of the reasons she gave for her betrayal any attack on her, even a joke, would prompt a trigger-like response within him. With the immense pain he felt due to the betrayal as an uncontrollable force to do something about it. So as to avoid feeling that pain again. This is simple psychology. @adjl Back me up over here.

No. It's one of the rare instances of actual toxic masculinity. Violently lashing out at an innocent 3rd party b/c you can't handle your personal issues like an adult. And I see tons of women who probably love that "TM" term defending this shit, saying he was "defending her honor", lol

I saw the interviews about it. It's blatant that SHE opened it, and quite possibly "unofficially" before asking. She talks about how she "needed" it, never a word about him wanting it (just that they "agreed" to it, but nothing about his enthusiasm for it), and he has super uncomfortable body language as she talks.
