Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon nearly made my list, and in a vacuum it probably should have because I really enjoyed the movie, but the weightless physics it popularized that then found its way into what seemed like every martial arts movie for the next handful of years really wore me down over time. It ended up making me enjoy all of them less even if it wasn't the fault of the early movies that utilized it.my favorite parts of the movie are actually the character interactions. i remember the movie getting clowned on years ago for the weightless stuff but it fits the tone of the story and etc. i also haven't been as overexposed to that type of style i guess so ...
