If the price was the same everywhere, they would probably do this. However, taxes can vary greatly from country to country, state-to-state, even city to city (although I doubt city taxes would factor into an online streaming service)

That and NOBODY expects taxes to be in an advertised price because nobody does that. It's not a common practice with anything except gas, and the taxes are hidden there because it's multiple forms of taxes and the government has a vested interest in keeping that rate out of peoples' eyes because it's insane.

In Canada (or at least Ontario) all in pricing is the law.

That's obviously the case in the US, particularly since the "sticker price" is fungible.
