Lets do the math here. Say you watch...at most...10 good movies a year. Also add in say, oh 40 good tv episodes from various shows. Now normally you watch a bunch of crap as well, but now you have motivation to ONLY watch the good stuff, so you wait to see the reviews etc.

So say 50 times total per year, you would need to watch all of iron fist which is 23 total shows with an average run time of 55 minutes.

That is 21 hours each time and 50 times, so 1050 hours per year.

If you got paid $100 an hour for watching the show, that would be just over 100k a year, so you would in effect get paid for 10 years all up front at $100 an hour. With investments though you could easily leverage that to get $100 an hour for the rest of your life, and still watch 10 moves and 40 episodes every year the whole time.

So it's pretty much worth it unless you already have a few million or have a job you love and wouldn't stop doing etc.
