That said, I understand it's probably difficult for someone to know the proper protocol in disarming someone in a wheelchair since I doubt they teach that in police academy (but then it sounds like there's a lot they don't teach in police academy they absolutely should). Opening fire like that is just ridiculous no matter how you slice it though.

Terrible cop who can't figure out a better solution than literally firing at a person in a wheelchair with a knife from behind in the direction of a store entrance.

The employee that called the police over a fucking toolbox is also stupid. Just tell your manager and they'll do the usual "I guess we'll keep an eye on them next time" bullshit. Unless a manager called, then that manager is also stupid because oh my god call your loss prevention team instead.

Good to hear the cop was actually fired for this though.
