Beewolves vs X-men

The X-men, their season on the line, came out sluggish by giving up a run in each of the first two innings, and 2 more in the 6th, while only tallying 1 of their own in the 5th. The 6th however marked a drastic change in the game flow. The X-men clobbered a 3 run homer and a solo homer back to back to surge into the lead, and added another run in the 7th. The Beewolves clawed back to within 1 in the 8th, and then the 9th inning...boy that 9th inning.

The Beewolves tied the game on a 2-out hit, and then the following batter lined one to 2B, who then relayed to 1B who then inexplicably flubbed the catch to allow the go-ahead run to score! Utter disaster...until an untimely rally of the X-men's own, where with 2 outs the 7-8-9 hitters in the order (yes including the closing pitcher) all got hits and brought in the tying run!

In the 10th, the beewolves narrowly missed out on taking the lead again, hitting a ball to the deepest part of the field that would've homered anywhere else. Instead, it's a triple that they can't cash in. The X-men then with 2 outs AGAIN get a deep hit to center that brings in a runner from first to keep their playoff hopes alive! If not slim.

Beewolves - 7
X-men - 8
