I'm part of the 35% of Democrats with enough sense to be anti-fascist. These policies represent some very troubling trends, and very likely will be used as precedent for even more horrific legislation. While I understand that there are many Democrats -- and likely some Republicans -- who greet tyranny with thunderous applause, I'll never get behind that nonsense.

so do you show your id when they ask you when buying alcohol or weed

You're basically suggesting that you'd have to be drunk or stoned to go along with this, tbh.

Otherwise it's probably your thinnest, most trollish justification in a very long time.

It's requiring you to show evidence that you are qualified to access that service.

There's no reasonable justification for "qualifying" people to enter a store. The best justification for somebody needing to be "qualified" to use a basic service involving food would be immigration status (because citizenship is literally a right to participate with a nation), and I know that you'd never in a million years support that policy, which makes your wholehearted support for this measure more than a little eyebrow raising.

a vaccination record isn't private health information

...it literally is, considering that the health information isn't made available to the public. In fact, no facet of a person's health is generally just made available to the public.

moreover, the same argument could be used for: your id shows your private residence, your birthday, your height, weight, eye color, ect.

it shows far more personal private information than a card that says you have been vaccinated for x.

Almost none of that is personal, private information. Addresses are a matter of public record, birth notices are a matter of public record, and your physical features can be seen by literally anybody who you'd hand your ID to. Do you know what they can't see and what isn't widely available? Your medical history.
