Your DoB and address are significantly easier to abuse than your vaccination status. Concerns about "private health information" really only apply to the sorts of things that might cause damages or embarrassment if they were leaked. HIPAA applies uniformly because it's a lot more practical to just apply regulations to all health information instead of trying to specify all kinds of exceptions, but in practice, disclosing your vaccination status is only going to cause you problems if you're not vaccinated. That's not something you'll be doing to get into any place that requires proof of vaccination (since there's very little point in walking up to a store and saying "you won't let me in"), so I think it's pretty safe to consider that point moot. --- This is my signature.
