Ideally, businesses should be able to pay employees purely on the basis of value generated, without having to consider their costs of living as part of the cost of employing a person to do a job. Without UBI? Lolno. If you want to employ a person to do a job, you need to be able to pay for that person's survival. If you can't, then you shouldn't be trying to employ them. Without defining a minimum wage, the entire employee market is dragged down to the lowest standard of living any of them is willing to accept, which is just bad for everyone except the employer. --- This is my signature.
