I dont think "no snitching" has ever applied to terrorists?

It pretty often has (particularly given in the case of actual terrorists like ISIS, the Taliban, etc, it's pretty fucking dangerous to snitch on them because even people who translate for the US government have been murdered by them), although it's weird to bring up terrorists in a discussion about rioters, but you do you.

They are facing the same charges as actual protestors,

First, they are actual protestors. Second, they're facing charges worse than most protestors. Some of the guys caught lighting fire to shit got off lighter than somebody on a criminal trespass charge

when they should be facing the death penalty (which you still have for acts of treason) or at least 20+ years in federal prison for the crime of committing an insurrection with the aid of foreign actors.

It's a little stunning when somebody posts something so divorce from reality that you wonder if they stumbled into our world from a parallel dimension. First off, no, they weren't working on behalf of foreign actors. And if you're making that claim, then most riots would fall under that same umbrella because foreign nations have attempting to sow unrest in the US since... well, before social media was a thing, but it got bigger after social media. Second, if they were trying to overthrow the government, they would have used those weapons they brought along. If you have guys with guns in the capitol building and the only gunshot comes from a capitol officer, that's not an "insurrection." And honestly, given how little damage was actually done, that was more peaceful than a lot of protests.

Even the individuals who thought on a lark to go to DC to participate in the insurrection should be facing sedition charges; instead the court has been handing out probation, that's the definition of a slap on the wrist.

lolwut? You completely lost the script on this one.

afaik, the handful of people who had coordinated beforehand haven't even gone to trial yet.
