My take on artifact RNG is that it does need to exist for the longevity of the game, but at the same time it's way too extreme. And the fix is incredibly simple: Remove flat DEF. Not only does it tend to be the worst offender for ruining artifacts, but it's also the one that never has a practical benefit. I can find a time where I might want flat HP, and flat ATK feels bad but at least isn't a complete zero in usefulness. Flat DEF is genuinely just a "lol you lose" boat anchor of a slot. Removing it would eliminate so much frustration and angst, while maintaining enough RNG for the devs to not feel like they're handing over great pieces routinely and watching players "beat the game" and leave. --- Only the exceptions can be exceptional. <cite>azuarc posted [p:956540498] in Genshin Im...
