Even that sounds like too much... I'll be interested to see how they adapt the series. The showrunner originally mapped out 8 seasons. Totally doable, especially in the later books where so much of it is minor character POVs. They will probably cut a ton of characters and at least a few major plotlines, but that's normal for an adaption like this. The first season seems like it will probably be ~~book 1, with parts of book 2 and New Spring mixed in~~.
