| Toxtricity 06/26/21 11:58:30 AM #296: | i think the point was that songs that are alienating still have fans. crazy bus is like the #1 or near #1 favorite song of a number of people who vote in this contest also (it also didn't do even near the poorest during the contest it was in) tbh this mostly just means that the songs that are weak are less going to be songs that are weird/alienating, because things like that "stand out" and usually have enough shock to interest certain people (which is maybe even a reductive way to describe it) a lot of the biggest blowouts were like some "random" "boring song" against something really powerful. so if you took one of those matches, but refined the concept of them to a case where the single digit few people that liked the weaker song in the match would still vote for the opponent over it, that's where you could get a 0-50 or whatever --- time ...
