I'm honestly very curious if we could even force such a match just by picking some song off the retired list that's universally loved and a track that's universally reviled. i feel like you would have a hard time finding an example of either "universal" extreme in a current crowd this large and diverse. you would most likely have to rig it in a very specific way. deliberately creating SFF where everyone interested in a certain thing will think the alternate example of said thing is better, etc. cancelling out any of the small group who'd be interested in the weaker track by putting it against something everyone who'd like the weaker track would like even more --- time ...
