So question: does the current MCU not have a multiverse? Because that's what I took from that little video, that there is only a single timeline/world right now but it used to be a multiverse, and I assume it will go back to a multiverse at some point in the future. A friend and I were having a discussion about it and on opposite sides. He thinks there still is a multiverse but the TVA is just watching over the one timeline we're experiencing and theoretically there is a TVA for each universe within the multiverse.

What your friend says has certainly been my idea of it. Timelines are specific to their universes, so at least in the current main MCU universe there is one timeline being maintained and other multiverses may have their own TVA or may not.

Like Dragon Ball has Timelines and Universes as separate things, ie Universe 7 has Goku and friends in it, but Universe 7 also has the Future Trunks timeline.
