It's probably a fool's errand to try and single out any one factor for it but that would certainly be the lowest hanging fruit. News reports that are frustratingly not providing me with good sourcing suggests that localities are suggesting the murder rate is still at the elevated level that 2020 provided but again I'm not seeing any good sourcing for that but if we accept it for the sake of argument then it's in the trendline started by 2020 (and again this would only be looking at murder specifically.
