Not trying to be a dick but if any time someone brings up a current video game or show or new music and your response is "meh it's not anime" or "It's not Trails of Cold Steel so I'm not interested" or "Who?" then no one is going to care to have a conversation with you about their interests. I mean, this is more to the fact that I don't really like / play video games anymore. I spend like 12 hours a day working, and the rest reading reddit, watching Youtube, posting on PotD, and then I'll put some time into PoE every once in a while.
