But usually in those cases the person is legitimately Irish by blood and happens to live in America. Nobody really is American other than the natives Technically they aren't American then since they immigrated too, just 15,000 years before we did. And if you want to get even more technical, everyone is African since we all started there and migrated across Pangea. But as a serious answer, adding someone's home country first is just a way to honor their home culture, since American culture is largely just a mix of the hundreds of other cultures from around the world. --- After 16 years, I have decided my signature will NOT be about my job!
