While I agree that she started things and was at fault every step of the way, it's still not usual for cops to arrest both participants in a fight particularly when you have a series of escalations. If they wind up with the same charges (or the same punishment), that's when it really gets to be bullshit. However, just being arrested doesn't necessarily mean that charges will even be filed.

...granted, I'm not sure where you see that both were arrested? The article is hard to read because MSN breaks it up like crazy, but it notes: "[The witness] told WRAL that the man and woman fought until police arrived. The Raleigh Police Department and the Durham Police Department told WRAL that they didn't file any reports on the incident."

If they didn't file a report, there probably wasn't an arrest.
