That's not how I interpreted "cutting gas line." By what's described there, though, she was generally being an awful person and outright crashed into another car, so I'd say confronting her is pretty fair.

He retaliated by spitting back
She then physically assaults him while he (unfortunately) tries to simply restrain her rather than give her the knock out she deserved

The instagram comments even has multiple people chiding him for hitting a woman.
Fuck that toxic piece of shit, I hope she gets the sentence she deserves for all of her crimes, but I know she will not.

While I agree that she started things and was at fault every step of the way, it's still not usual for cops to arrest both participants in a fight particularly when you have a series of escalations. If they wind up with the same charges (or the same punishment), that's when it really gets to be bullshit. However, just being arrested doesn't necessarily mean that charges will even be filed.

The article is hard to read because MSN breaks it up like crazy, but it notes: "[The witness] told WRAL that the man and woman fought until police arrived. The Raleigh Police Department and the Durham Police Department told WRAL that they didn't file any reports on the incident."

If they didn't file a report, there probably wasn't an arrest.

I'm not sure that's really an example of either. It's kind of based on both (the idea that women are all weak and pathetic and therefore must be treated delicately at all times (toxic femininity), as well as the idea that men should all be stronger than women (toxic masculinity) and should therefore not abuse that advantage), but the actual statement of "don't beat up women" is just a plain old weird double standard, not itself an ideal of masculinity/femininity.

Of course, I strongly suspect you're just using those terms to mean "men/women (respectively) doing bad things," because that seems to be the extent of your understanding of the concept, but meh. The counterpoint stands.

And "toxic [gender]ity" refers to instances where those shitty behaviours are excused or promoted as being normal or expected of a given gender. Ultimately, yeah, good/bad behaviour shouldn't be gendered. Highlighting toxic gender norms as a problem is pretty much just saying exactly that.

I will never understand women trying to start a physical fight with adult males that are clearly larger and stronger than them, over petty bullshit no less. She's clearly a low quality human though, so she got what she deserved. Hopefully the video helps the dude out in court if it goes that far. The whole gas situation is dumb anyway.

Because they think men won't fight them back. Women who do that.. I don't feel bad for. Don't spit on a huge dude if you don't want him to step up to you? Who is going to take getting spat on?
