It's funny, Rib Eyes were always my go to steak. The lip around the rib eye, is still probably my favorite actual part of the cow. It's SO good, but you only get a tiny bit per rib eye.

The middle of the ribeye is good, but not as good as Filet etc, and honestly cost wise you get so much bone/fat etc on a rib eye your getting much less meat per pound (even boneless rib eyes although not as much).

I still like em, but I'm finding many other cuts of meat that are as good, and often much better ratio of meat to fat/bone etc, so far better cost wise.

The Wagu stuff is seriously expensive at Haegen though (I go there instead of safeway alot for my meats due to better quality), but when Gibsons has em on sale it's so freaking worth it (heagen is like $20/lb or so, Gibson like 7 lol).

Wish Gibson would have some ribeyes on sale though, they have such good quality, or maybe some year they will have wagu ribeyes...maybe for like $14 a pound or something. That would be a real treat.
