I used a $20 flip phone with a 1.6 MP camera for 8 years. I upgraded to a G7 One two years ago, which is a $900 (CDN) phone (which is paid for through the $40/mo basic plan I'd be paying for anyway; I did not choose to spend that much money on a phone). The camera's better, obviously, and it's handy to be able to access the Internet and whatnot, but if I had to pay the full price of the more expensive phone, I absolutely would have gone for something much cheaper. It's just not worth the difference.

Well, they're back ordered and won't be shipping our phones until the end of the month. I've never had this happen to me in the past 12 years of phone buying. Sure, maybe they're out of stock sometimes, but longest wait was like a week. Why are so many people trying to get high end phones right now?

It's probably more a supply issue than a demand one. Electronics manufacturing worldwide has been hurt by the chip shortage.
