the bracket came out faster i think, but more time was probably spent if you count it all up

That depends on if you count the time spent evaluating the songs. That tends to be a very slow gradual process for me, regardless of accuracy. I think the first three days were spent just listening to the field and getting them seeded and lightly categorized. My guess is you probably pre-listened to most of the locks this year since there was a substantial layover. Plus both of you can grind out a list like that much quicker than I can.

Then you and I got into some discussion about seeding before we started to place things, particularly on tracks where you needed to set me straight on anything I misrepresented. (Granted that went both ways, but ostensibly the reason you were helping was specifically for that purpose.)

Only then did we start placements. I spread out the top seeds, then tagged out and let you place some. I forget if you went bottom-up or picked up where I left off. But I know I tagged back in and did a huge chunk. We were fairly equally culpable for bracket placements. This part went pretty briskly. Once we began, I think it was only a few hours total. Most of the time was in the prep work.

Then we stared at it for obvious conflicts. UF8 suggested a few repositions. The two of you made some final adjustments before we "published" it.

gone that far to avoid conflicts in someone supporting both songs in a round 1 match! ...so for any of the flaws this bracket has in any other way...at least we can say we managed to do that hahaha

I've said this several times in discord, but since not everyone is there, I'm going to repeat here that I'm very impressed with that level of attention to detail. I don't think I would have ever dreamed of laboring that intensely over the bracket given how much else I described above that it takes just to get to that point, and how much raw data there is to try to accommodate. I don't think those other "flaws" are going to be very noticeable, tbh, and they're certainly no more present than they would have been in the past. Probably far less.
