I can't remember how recently he adopted it, but one article notes that the dog is 3 so he must have either got him while campaigning (which is a weird choice) or just after the media announced he'd been elected. Zareth posted... It's sad but a lot of big dogs who are rescues can end up attacking people for seemingly no reason when something triggers them. Big dogs in general can have more issues relating to aggression and more serious issues when that aggression occurs.
