Considering that ~~Kong lost in the original~~, I doubt he'll win here. Granted, the original was produced by a Japanese studio so having him job made sense, whereas the US studio doesn't necessarily have to do that. But whoever is portrayed as the face will win, or they'll take up to fight some other threat (because, in the words of Jim Cornette, "LAZY BOOKING!") From a technical standpoint, Godzilla should generally be more powerful given his ranged attacks. That said, I haven't seen any of the new movies so I can't really judge one way or the other.
