Jim Cornette or "Old man yelling at kayfabe clouds." Was upset at AEW again because some audience member took a video of Shaq being taken away from the ambulance before the big reveal that he had "magically" disappeared after the match on Wednesday Dynamite. (A darn good match too)

His video on that was hilarious.

He's really been taking the piss out of wrestling promotions for constantly using kidnap gimmicks (AEW I guess had 4-6 kidnappings in just the space of a *month*, between Marco Stunt, Darby Allan, The Young Fucks' father, and Hook (who I didn't know was Tazz's son), as well as a few others I've forgotten) and "teleportation". This is in addition to two promotions -- AEW and TNA -- having wedding angles around the same time. And his commentary on TNA's shenanigans has cracked me up.

I saw a clip on YT from the Shaq fight, which only had a few minutes and was about what you might expect from a mixed tag match where one guy isn't a pro wrestler. And, honestly, Shaq is better at it than some of the jabronies they've hired.

What's hilarious is that Shaq was in Atlanta, on the same network, doing broadcast duties for the NBA All Star game on Sunday, you know, his regular job. The video got released Sunday afternoon on Twitter.

Jim & Brian laughed about that fact as well. They pointed out that, in addition to no reason for the disappearance (or for Tony or whoever to open the back of the ambulance in the first place), it was silly because they had him on announcing right after.

They also criticized the Young Fucks for doing a table spot later in the night that took attention off the Shaq match, which was a pretty legit criticism because it devalues something that should have been a highlight of a night by doing the same thing but bigger.

People on Twitter called him out because his podcast ratings are up only when he complains about AEW. He quickly banned those people, and his kayfabe of his own reality continues.

His podcast ratings are constantly up. And AEW doesn't have the audience where they can really help him. Honestly, Jim Cornette has done far more for AEW getting over than anybody at AEW. If he wanted the promotion to die, he should have stopped talking about it immediately. And it's pretty clear that they've mostly chosen to push some wrestlers *because* of Cornette. There are actually times when I've wondered if Tony Khan might be slipping Cornette a check for advertising their shit (I know that I would have even known about the "Japanese schoolgirls tournament" if he hadn't talked about it and Maki Itoh)... but then I realize how much WWE stuff he does.
