Hardest boss in the main game was the Watcher Knights Completely agree. Nothing even came close for me, other than maybe the third colosseum event if you want to count that. HK was my top game for 2020 titles played, out of 66 total. Everything about the game is amazing. The graphics, the music, the atmosphere the two create, the fluidity of the combat, the sense of exploration, the general awe and wonder of playing the game. My write-up for the game had a bold claim that Hollow Knight does everything Super Metroid did, and does it better. It's simply a masterpiece. I don't know if it's my favorite game out of everything I played in the last decade or even the last year, simply because I tend to ensconce myself in titles that can be played for hundreds of hours and that it's virtually impossible to wring every last drop from any quicker, but objectively speaking, it's easily #1. --- Video Game Music Contest 14 champion: Idola Phantasy Star Saga - Endeavour ...
