Why do you think malpractice is a thing? Or getting a second opinion is a thing? In fact, I would argue I've had more negative experiences with doctors than positive from being overly prescribed things like opioids and antibiotics to just flat out wrong diagnoses. Some years ago I went to the doc having extreme pain in my lower sides (what I approximated to be my kidneys) and told them what I was experiencing. I asked my doc if it might be kidney stones or something based upon experiences my friends/family had had. He said, 'Nah it can't be that'. Long story short after a couple of visits I ended up getting a surgical consult for my gallbladder because they showed gallstones in a CT. I explained to the surgeon the symptoms I had which brought me to the doctor in the first place and he's like, 'What? Your gallbladder has nothing to do with the pain you've been experiencing. They're in completely different parts of the body and have completely different symptoms. You have gallstones but if you're not experiencing any of those symptoms, I wouldn't recommend its removal. It doesn't have anything to do with what you're experiencing. Go see a urologist'. So I finally go see a urologist and he correctly identifies it as a kidney infection and we get it figured out. You shouldn't outright ignore a doctors opinion, but let's not pretend they can't be wildly wrong and that you should just do everything they say without thinking critically about it or doing your own due diligence. --- I promise that if the game stinks I will make a topic about how I hate it and you can all laugh at me - Mead on Fallout 76 <cite>Smarkil posted [p:947502165] in Will you b...
